Gerald R. Jensen, PhD, CFA
EIA Founder, Director and Chief Investment Officer
Gerry held a Board of Trustees Professorship and the Jones Endowed Professorship in Banking at Northern Illinois University for several years before joining the faculty at Creighton University in August 2015. At Creighton, Gerry served as a full professor and oversaw the Creighton University Student Portfolio. Gerry earned his bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University, his MBA from Iowa State University and his PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He earned his CFA charter in 2005.

Gerry has been actively engaged with the CFA Institute as a consultant and a CFA Exam grader. He began his engagement with CFA Institute in 2006 and continues to serve as a consultant.

Gerry has published over 60 academic articles in highly regarded journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Business, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Corporate Finance and Financial Management. In addition, he served as an associate Editor for the Journal of Financial Research from 2011 to 2017.

In 2015, Gerry and his co-authors published the book, Invest with the Fed, McGraw-Hill Education. Gerry is also a co-author on the 14th edition of the investments textbook, Gerald Jensen and Charles Jones, Investments: Analysis and Management, Wiley Publishing, 2018.
